Desertscene are proud to announce that Texan riffers Mothership are returning to London on July 1st at The Black Heart.
After a barnstorming set at last years Desertfest in support of fellow statesmen Wo Fat, the Dallas based trio were high on our list of bands to invite back. Clearly influenced by everything 70s without ever dwelling too much in the past, Mothership rock hard when they riff and drift out when they psych, seamlessly wielding the two extremes.
Mothership are part of a growing renaissance in Texan underground rock, alongside the likes of Wo Fat, The Sword, Switchblade Jesus and others. With their third album, High Strangeness, slated for release in March 2017, we for one can't wait to see where the band's sound has gone.
Supporting them are London's own Poseidon, who also converted many to their cause at last year's Desertfest. One of the sharpest takes on doom in recent memory, Poseidon travel at crushing, leaden pace. Get down early for Poseidon and you won't regret it.
Book your tickets today for one of the heaviest nights of the summer.
