Desertscene are proud to be hosting the UK premiere screening of Joerg Steineck's epic rockumentary, Lo Sound Desert; presented in a seated showing followed by live music and a Ben Ward DJ set.

Lo Sound Desert is a celebration of the Californian desert and the music scene it spawned. An intimate look at how the frustrated punk rock kids of Low Desert created a musical scene that started as an escape for the outsiders of society, but has since earned respect and acclaim worldwide. From Yawning Man to Queens of the Stone Age - and everything in between - it shows how the right people gathered together in these calm, isolated landscapes to play some of the loudest and rawest music ever jammed.

Narrated by some of the best musicians of the desert scene, including Josh Homme, Brant Bjork, Mario Lalli, Alfredo Hernandez, Scott Reeder, Steineck goes straight to the horse's mouth and gets the low down on what made the Low Desert such a hotbed for heavy.

Ten years in the making, what started as a video shoot for a Palm Desert band has snowballed into one of the most insightful looks into the genesis and growth of the music scene we all love. This two part documentary will be shown in full in a seated setting - with an intermission for you to empty your bladders (or refill them).

Plus, stick around after the screening for live music from thunderous heavy blues outfit Desert Storm and a continued party into the early hours with a DJ set from Orange Goblin's Ben Ward.

Be among the first people in the UK to see this stunning celebration of the most enduring local music scene in the world. Book your tickets today.
