The Midnight Ghost Train's swamp infused stomp has produced some of the freshest riffs in recent memory. Pinned together by Steve Moss' guttural vocal style, which stays just shy of a roar, the instrumental section of the band is pure groove that makes even the most ardent of arm-folders loosen up at their shows. Their latest album, 2015's Cold Was The Ground is a clear example of this, building upon their previous, Buffalo, with an emboldened confidence and swagger.
