Desertscene are ecstatic to announce that we’re bringing Nick Oliveri’s Death Acoustic to The Black Heart on November 18th.

Oliveri should be no stranger to fans of heavy, with his roll call of bands reading like a dream festival lineup. First cementing his place in stoner rock legend as a bassist in Kyuss, he then took things to the next level with Queens of the Stone Age. His own project, Mondo Generator, continued down the raucous path, and if that’s not enough for you, his work with Dwarves, Masters of Reality and countless others should prove why he’s one of the most recognisable bassists in all of heavy music.

Death Acoustic are a different kind of heavy. Stripped down but not slowed down, packing all the punch and energy you’d usually expect from a stack of amps. Many musicians offer up a softer side in their acoustic shows, Nick Oliveri goes in the other direction; upping to new degrees of intensity to compensate for the unplugged environment.

Support for the night comes from one of Oliveri’s many co-conspirators in the form of Dwarves running mate Blag Dahlia, who will also be offering up an equally raucous unplugged set.
