Desertscene in association with Sound of Liberation are proud to announce Sweden's heavy stoner rock goliaths Greenleaf will be hitting up The Underworld on November 15th.

Starting life as a side-project of Dozer's Tommi Holappa and Bengt Bäcke - as well as Daniel Lidén of Demon Cleaner and Peder Bergstrand of Lowrider - Greenleaf have grown far beyond the side-project monicker into one of the leading lights of the European stoner rock scene.

Spanning almost two decades, the band has seen quite a revolving door of members, but for every lineup change Greenleaf has seen, they've added more to their sound; as their extensive back catalogue shows. From 2000's self-titled EP, right through to 2016's pounding Rise Above the Meadow, Greenleaf's hard rock/stoner hybrid has evolved and grown; and that sound is best experienced live. Their domination on the very first day of the debut incarnation of Desertfest London in 2012 was, for many, the first great memory taken from the annual juggernaut. After their HUGE show last year alongside The Atomic Bitchwax and Steak, we can't wait to see Greenleaf tear down The Underworld again.

Support for the night comes from Berlin's Samavayo, whose hard stoner rock comes packed with influences ranging from the straight up psychedelic to more Middle Eastern vibes; their most recent albums exploring those Eastern themes further by introducing Persian lyrics on a handful of tracks. An exciting twist on the fuzzy fare that dominates the European underground, Samavayo have been killing it ever since 2003's 131 EP. A perfect band to break out when the hot sun is blaring down, Samavayo are sure to heat you up ready for Greenleaf.

Openers for the night are London’s own Wychhound, who bring their tasty stoner licks to The Underworld. Wychhound’s May release, Earth Orbiter - their debut as an instrumental outfit - was recorded live and showcases the raw energy the band will be bringing to Camden this November. Be sure to catch them with Greenleaf and Samavayo when they roll into The Underworld on November 15th. Book your tickets today.
