Desertscene are proud to announce that Aussie heavy blues trio Child are taking one last trip to the Northern Hemisphere when they play The Black Heart for the last time on October 23rd.

Formed in Melbourne in 2012, Child, whilst rooted in the blues, diverge down harder and heavier avenues. Releasing their self-titled debut in 2014, they explored the periphery of doom with a vein of the low and slow lying just below the crust throughout the album - most notably surfacing during penultimate track ‘Mean Square’; that’s without mentioning the escapes into heavy psych and pure stoner present throughout. It was clear from the outset that Child had rapidly set themselves apart from the rising wave of heavy blues by the sheer breadth of styles on display throughout their work. Their follow-up, 2016’s Blueside, carries the momentum of their debut outing and delivers another dose of toe-tapping and head-banging packed to the brim with soul. Now they return to London for one last time.
