The Godfathers of desert rock are set to cause a sandstorm in London. After a phenomenal co-headline set at Desertfest 2013 and a sold out show at The Purple Turtle early last year, Desertscene are proud to welcome back Yawning Man as they spread their warmth through The Borderline on the first show of their European tour.

Early innovators and influencers of the Palm Desert scene, Yawning Man's generator parties are the stuff of legend; spaced out marathon length jams from garages to the furthest reaches of the desert. The band's punk rock pick-up-and-play ethos mixed with fuzzy proto-stoner vibes not only define the desert but also helped shape the stoner rock scene to this day. Chief among the bands influenced by Yawning Man are KYUSS, whose stickman, BRANT BJORK describes them as "the sickest desert band of all time".

Held together by GARY ARCE's trippy, spacious tones, Yawning Man continue to be one of the most exciting bands of the whole desert scene.

They will be joined by psych-stoners Blaak Heat and instrumental riffers Sons of Alpha Centauri.
